Stafford Elementary School

ATTENTION ITALY ISD PARENTS Italy ISD received several calls this evening concerning a possible threat at the high school tomorrow morning. Initial investigations have not substantiated the rumors, however, with the safety of our students and staff being of the utmost importance, there will be additional police officers on campus in the morning. The investigation will continue in cooperation with the City of Italy Police Department.

Community Pep Rally - Meet & Greet Coach Lee Wilkins Italy ISD Athletic Director and Head Football Coach Italy ISD will be hosting a Community Pep Rally - Meet & Greet on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 at 2:30 PM in the Italy HS Dome to welcome our new Athletic Director/Head Football Coach, Lee Wilkins. The pep rally will highlight our students and culminate in a few words from Coach Wilkins. Following the pep rally, Coach Wilkins will be available for some meet and greet time with our guests. We hope you are able to join us for this special event. We are excited to continue the tradition of uniting Italy ISD, our families and community to support events that will make a difference for our wonderful students.

3rd-6th Grade Students: Dear Parents, The time to shine is here! Next week, your child will be taking the STAAR test. Your child has worked so hard, and I am so proud of them!!! I just wanted to give you a couple reminders for our big days: • Please make sure your child gets a good night of sleep and eats a good, nutritious breakfast. • Please encourage your child to do their best! • No deliveries (including lunches) will be allowed during STAAR testing days. • Please avoid scheduling doctor/dentist appointments on these dates. • Each day, your child will need to bring a book to read, a jacket/sweater, earbuds (if they’d like to use their own), and a water. • The campus will be CLOSED for any visitors during testing ⭐Tuesday, May 10th: 3rd-6th Math⭐ ⭐Wednesday, May 11th: 3rd-6th Reading⭐ ⭐Thursday, May 12th: 5th Science⭐ Thank you for always encouraging your child to do their best and to use the strategies they have been practicing! Dear Stafford Families, We greatly appreciate all your support during our first ever Read-A-Thon. We raised $3,670. Our top student who raised the most was Chanel Slota in 2nd grade and our top reader was Alaina Holmes in 5th grade. As a whole school we read 15,745 minutes. Our winning teacher for having the most students participate and read was Mrs. Gibson in 2nd grade! She won 4 tickets to a Cleburne Railroaders game! Students please log back into your dashboards and pick your prizes. You have until May 13th until it closes. Thank you so much for a wonderful first year with Read-A-Thon! Dear Parents and Families, I am sending my sincere gratitude for making our Book Fair and One Book, One School initiative an outstanding success. We also have had a huge support through our Read-A-Thon as well. Throughout all of our fundraising efforts our main goal is putting this money back into our kids. We plan to host more family literacy events and create community wide support for our students. I personally am looking forward to creating more reading programs in our school for our students and developing a stronger love for literacy. We plan on opening up our Stafford Library this summer to continue our reading adventures. Keep an eye out for more information to come. I am looking forward to seeing each of you again.
