Since our last contact with you this morning we have had a technical difficulty with resetting the silent panic alert system as a result the lockdown alert was retriggered but is a false alarm. All systems have been reset now and we appologize for any stress or confustion this may have casued. Italy ISD
Book Fair Announcement for Stafford Elementary
Stafford parents don't forget tomorrow is our first Dress Up day with Let'g Get Wild - wear you favorite animal print.
Repairs on the fiber line at Stafford are still ongoing. The current estimate to have Internet back at the school is by end of the day tomorrow. We are having to replace a large portion of the fiber. We will keep you updated as the situation changes thank you.
Friday Night Lights in Italy, watching our Gladiator Football Team, is an exciting and fun family-friendly
event to show our Italy pride and support our students. Safety and security is of utmost importance not only in
our schools but also at all our extracurricular events.
For all home football games, all spectators are being asked to remain behind the fence that separates
the bleachers/concessions from the track and the field at all times. Spectators will not be allowed on the track
or the field before, during or after the game. Staff working the game will be wearing lanyards with access tags
in order to fulfill their responsibilities and provide support for students, spectators and guests.
At all times, please make sure the only thing our players and fellow spectators hear from us is cheering
on our students. Please refrain from heckling, yelling or using inappropriate language towards our coaches
and staff or in front of families, students and small children. Let’s keep this a family-friendly event.
At the conclusion of the football game, players will have a few minutes to meet their families at the
fence, however, players will remain on the track and families will remain behind the fence.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the game! Have fun cheering on our students and spending
time with your family and friends! Go Italy Gladiators!

Stafford Elementary Reminder:
The school day, from start to finish, is vital for the proper educational development of learning for each child. Stafford begins each school day at 7:45 a.m., and students are expected to be in the school building by this time. If a student comes into the building after 7:45 a.m., they will be marked tardy. On the other side of utilizing the full school day of learning, is early pick-ups. Any time a child is picked up before the end of the school day, which is 4:15 p.m., the early pick up will be recorded. Car rider students use the road behind the playground off Dilworth. If your student is tardy you must come into the front office and sign them in.
**Morning Tardies/Early Pick-Ups/Absences will be counted throughout the school year, and when a student reaches a certain amount, learning recovery will be required.
**Excused/unexcused - tardies, early pick-ups and absences will follow the Italy ISD Attendance policy guidelines. When your child is absent, please call 972-483-6342 or email on the day of absence. In addition, a medical or parent note is also required on the day the student returns to school. Medical and parent notes can also be emailed to lbaggerly@italyisd.org
**For Out of District transfer students, tardies, early pick-ups and absences will be considered in the approval or denial of future out district transfer applications.
**Parent Portal: Log into your parent portal to see your student’s attendance, grades, and test scores.
Please visit www.italyisd.org, select Schools, and select Stafford Elementary. On this site you will find more information by selecting News and Events etc. throughout the year.
